I hope that you have all had a splendid, restful Festive Season.  It has been quite a while since I posted on this blog, so I hope that you will forgive my absence for the most part of 2018. It has been a busy year and I have to be honest the desire to blog about craft has been less desired or fulfilling. Making and writing about craft simultaneously was not forthcoming with me - doing the two things separately was a lot more enjoyable. I tend to do a lot more making and enjoying the process rather than actually writing it down. But for 2019 I really want to get back to the grind again. Being able to make things and share them with you guys and also enjoy doing the two processes together is something I really want to get back to. Day 8 of Craftober! Hello Day 8! Welcome to the Blog today and thank you for stopping by! Today is Day....8 of Craftober and today's theme is: Clean and Simple. Minimal cardmaking to a T! I absolutely love clean and simple cards, but sometimes less can be more and more looks like less. I hope that I have struck good balance with this card. Today's theme is: Paper Punch. If you don't have a paper punch you can use mini dies instead - improvisation is key! Crafty, Craftober Day 6 : It's time for a Masculine feel. Today's prompt is Masculine. I'm gonna admit something here, I can't do masculine cards that well - my fiance will probably disagree - but in turn he's supposed to like everything I make for him 😉 So here is my Masculine card for today - it's very minimal because the guys in our life may not like anything too 'flouncy'. This may not be the case for everyone, but I think anything in blue is a good start (not limitless though!) and simple embellishments is also a thumbs up too. Welcome to Craftober Day 5 ! Thank you for stopping by on the blog today! Today's prompt is: One Piece of Patterned Paper - so many paper pads, so little time! It was impossible to choose one, but in the end I did pick one piece and I think it really does suit the sentiment. Today's card is here: I really love the 'Hello Love' paper pad by Crate Paper, it was one of their most popular collections, it wasn't available in the UK for a while because it sold out in most places and only appeared in Hobbycraft quite sometime after it's release. The Distress Inks range by Tim Holtz are amazing, so many great colours, pigments, styles and techniques that you can have, do and create with them - it's amazing! This can be interpreted in a few ways: it could be your favourite colour in general, or a colour you like to craft with that is your favourite, or even anything else! So for me, this is my favourite colour in general - which is green. Now green is a bit of a funny one in my opinion as it can be a difficult colour to make a card with - it comes in different shades, one green might not look brilliant on a card, but some shades may look beautiful on a card or project - this time I think I may have cracked it!
