Day 8 of Craftober! Hello Day 8! Welcome to the Blog today and thank you for stopping by! Today is Day....8 of Craftober and today's theme is: Clean and Simple. Minimal cardmaking to a T! I absolutely love clean and simple cards, but sometimes less can be more and more looks like less. I hope that I have struck good balance with this card. Craftober | Day 6: Masculine

Crafty, Craftober Day 6 : It's time for a Masculine feel. Today's prompt is Masculine. I'm gonna admit something here, I can't do masculine cards that well - my fiance will probably disagree - but in turn he's supposed to like everything I make for him 😉 So here is my Masculine card for today - it's very minimal because the guys in our life may not like anything too 'flouncy'. This may not be the case for everyone, but I think anything in blue is a good start (not limitless though!) and simple embellishments is also a thumbs up too. Personally, I have seen quite eccentric masculine birthday cards and I have seen very minimalist masculine cards too, so I'm going to go for in-between!   All materials used: Paige Evans Fancy Free - Crate Paper Illustrated Faith Basic Die Cut Ephemera Hobbycraft Small Heart Paper Punch Beach Blue Card stock - Lime Tree Craft Double sided tape 3D Foam Pads A very sim...

Craftober | Day 5: One Piece of Pattern Paper

Welcome to Craftober Day 5 ! Thank you for stopping by on the blog today! Today's prompt is: One Piece of Patterned Paper - so many paper pads, so little time! It was impossible to choose one, but in the end I did pick one piece and I think it really does suit the sentiment. Today's card is here: I really love the 'Hello Love' paper pad by Crate Paper, it was one of their most popular collections, it wasn't available in the UK for a while because it sold out in most places and only appeared in Hobbycraft quite sometime after it's release. It was only available via a few UK online retailers. This paper goes very well with the sentiment picture and I always love a pun on any cards because those sort of things make me giggle! All materials used: Raspberry Card stock from Lime Tree Craft Hello Love 6 x 6 Paper Pad - Crate Paper Pink & White Twine by Do Crafts / Papermania Large Tag Dies - Simon Says Stamp Simp...

Craftober | Day 4: Distress Inks

Hi there, thank you for stopping by the blog today! It's Craftober Day 4 and the theme is Distress Inks. The Distress Inks range by Tim Holtz are amazing, so many great colours, pigments, styles and techniques that you can have, do and create with them - it's amazing! Tim's recent Distress Oxide Range is gorgeous and with some great bright, vibrant colours - how could you not own them all? Today I have used Tim Holtz's original Distress Inks in the colours: Picked Raspberry, Spice Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac and this is the card I've made this evening: All materials used: Black card stock White card stock Watercolour paper Picked Raspberry Distress Ink Spice Marmalade Distress Ink Fossilized Amber Distress Ink Peacock Feathers Distress Ink Shaded Lilac Distress Ink Shimelle Starshine Chipboard Ephemera MFT Four Way Chevron Background Die Black Sequins Tombow Aqua Liquid Glue 3mm G...

Craftober | Day 3: Favourite Colour

Hi everyone and welcome back to the blog - thank you so much for stopping by! Today is Craftober Day 3 and it's crafting using your Favourite Colour. This can be interpreted in a few ways: it could be your favourite colour in general, or a colour you like to craft with that is your favourite, or even anything else! So for me, this is my favourite colour in general - which is green. Now green is a bit of a funny one in my opinion as it can be a difficult colour to make a card with - it comes in different shades, one green might not look brilliant on a card, but some shades may look beautiful on a card or project - this time I think I may have cracked it! All materials used: Black card stock White card stock Storyteller 6 x 6 Paper Pad - First Paper Edition Starshine Chipboard Stickers - Shimelle / American Crafts 3D Foam Pads Double Sided Tape This paper from First Edition Paper looks really blue, buts actually a turquoise green with light green acce...
