Craftober for October

Hi everyone, welcome back to the blog! It's been a little while, but I'm back with an update featuring a new project to get back into crafting again!

I have decided to dedicate the 31 days of October to cardmaking and crafting. This project for October will be renamed:
(For October!) YAY!

Everyday (Days 1 - Days 31) will be a word prompt to encourage you to make a card or project every day through October.

You're probably thinking - 'That's a lot Mel. 31 days, a card or project everyday?' Well, I'm gonna tell you right now - you can do this YOUR WAY. If you don't fancy joining in everyday, that's completely okay, if you just fancy doing a few days at a time, that's okay as well. Even if you can't do one everyday, but just fancy catching up in your own time, or combining consecutive days - that's great too - this month is all about being creative, being your own creative, and being encouraged to be creative, in your own surroundings in your own time and in your own way. I really do hope you will join in and I really would love to see your cards and your projects too. I encourage you guys to keep creative and be creative. You can even save all the cards / projects you make during the month and give them to friends in the following months ahead, or just keep them for your own preservations, or stocked up to send for Friend Mail, future occasions or just to make someone smile. They can be in the form of scrapbooking pages too, any craft project you like!

Simon Says Stamp - Shipping / Customs and Dispatch (UK)

I heard about Simon Says Stamp many years ago through Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire, both of whom worked, designed or were (and still are) affiliated to the brand - they've designed stamp sets for them, done projects for them, created videos with them and their products and they were always a brand that I thought I would never be able to get hold of because of where I was based location wise - which is in the UK. Since that order, I have not looked back, I buy products from Simon when they have flash sales, as the shipping is worth it, or once maybe every 6 months as I can't really afford to buy from them more than 3 or 4 times a year. Happy New Year 2019!

A very Happy New Year to one and all! I hope that you have all had a splendid, restful Festive Season.  It has been quite a while since I posted on this blog, so I hope that you will forgive my absence for the most part of 2018. It has been a busy year and I have to be honest the desire to blog about craft has been less desired or fulfilling. Making and writing about craft simultaneously was not forthcoming with me - doing the two things separately was a lot more enjoyable. I tend to do a lot more making and enjoying the process rather than actually writing it down. But for 2019 I really want to get back to the grind again. Being able to make things and share them with you guys and also enjoy doing the two processes together is something I really want to get back to.
