MFT March 2017 Release - My Picks and What I Bought!

Hi there guys and welcome back to the blog today! In this post I will be talking about the My Favorite Things March release, as well as my picks and the items I bought from the release.

The March release from My Favorite Things came out on March 7th 2017 at 9pm EST in the US and then on March 8th in the UK and everywhere else.

The release was as always a great one - it had pigs, lions and tigers, baby themed stamps and dies, two new paper pads, new home and houses dies and sentiments, as well as a love theme too with tags, keys and locks. They also had ninjas and sushi eating panda bears too. Okay, that probably sounds like a weird mix of random elements, but MFT always pull it out of the bag!

Here are pictures of the release below - from the MFT Blog website.

My favourites from this release are the Ninja-mazing Stamp set and Die, great versatility and will go great with the other Japanese themed dies and stamps. I love the Lions and Tigers set as well - very unique, a great selection of both animals to make family-themed, or new arrival / baby themed cards - varied sizes, and so cute. The Sow Much Cuteness set gt me on Countdown Release Day 5 and it's such a sweet stamp set - MFT brought out Hog Heaven last year (I think) and this is a great accompanying stamp set and die set too - I couldn't not mention that set! The MFT Design Team have made some gorgeous and creative cards for this release, the designs are brilliant and so colourful - they've done a wonderful job of creating a superb range of cards for this release! Super talented!

The products I bought (that my budget fitted!) were:

Sow Much Cuteness (Stamp and Die)

Lions and Tigers (Stamp and Die)

Welcome Baby Stamp Set

I plan to use the Lions and Tigers set for baby cards, new arrivals together with the Welcome Baby set, and the Sow Much Cuteness set to make some cute and fun cards for most occasions - perfect for birthdays, encouragement cards, funny cards, uplifting and positive cards - I can't wait to play with the items I have bought and hope to buy a few more from this release in future!

So there is a brief run down of the MFT March release - check out the MFT Blog for inspiration and great ideas from the Design Team and I hope you all enjoy crafting with these products!

Thank you for stopping by today on the blog, until next time - Happy Crafting!

Simon Says Stamp - Shipping / Customs and Dispatch (UK)

I heard about Simon Says Stamp many years ago through Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire, both of whom worked, designed or were (and still are) affiliated to the brand - they've designed stamp sets for them, done projects for them, created videos with them and their products and they were always a brand that I thought I would never be able to get hold of because of where I was based location wise - which is in the UK. I took the plunge in making my first order with them back in December 2014 and ordered nearly $60 worth of merchandise, which probably doesn't seem that much based on the US dollar but for me it definitely was - the shipping for the item total exceeding $50 was $20 and this hadn't been added to the total yet! Since that order, I have not looked back, I buy products from Simon when they have flash sales, as the shipping is worth it, or once maybe every 6 months as I can't really afford to buy from them more than 3 or 4 times a year. When I do...

Happy New Year 2019!

A very Happy New Year to one and all! I hope that you have all had a splendid, restful Festive Season.  It has been quite a while since I posted on this blog, so I hope that you will forgive my absence for the most part of 2018. It has been a busy year and I have to be honest the desire to blog about craft has been less desired or fulfilling. Making and writing about craft simultaneously was not forthcoming with me - doing the two things separately was a lot more enjoyable. I tend to do a lot more making and enjoying the process rather than actually writing it down. But for 2019 I really want to get back to the grind again. Being able to make things and share them with you guys and also enjoy doing the two processes together is something I really want to get back to. I have been creative - though not blogging - YouTube have given me a sense of putting content out even if it isn't in writing form, but also doing Design Team work for Die Cutting Essentials Magazine, which ...
