Hey There, Handsome...

Hi there everyone and thank you so much for stopping by the blog today!

With Valentine's just around the corner (ish) I thought I would start to make one or two for the forthcoming day - plus I'm a romantic - so why not? I have a lovely other half to share Valentine's Day with - so I hope he doesn't mind a tiny bit of fan mail (from his Number 1 fan, of course!)

So here is a more masculine card I made for Valentine's:




This card is a slightly less conventional size, more slimline than a normal A5 size. This card measures 3.75 inches by 5.75 inches. It's also used with just a few materials too - a simple and quick card!

I used:
Jet Black Cardstock - Canford
Heart Day 6 x 6 Paper Pad (Cactus Paper) - Crate Paper
Essential Sentiments Stamp Set - My Favorite Things
'Hey There Handsome' Card - Confetti Edition (PDF Version) - Project Life by Becky Higgins

Tools:
Double-Sided Tape
3D Foam Pads
Scissors
Paper Cutter
Scoring Board





I wanted to keep the card pretty simple, with a dark colour base, pop of colour, then another dark colour focal point. I also didn't want the Project Life card to be on its own on the card, as it didn't feel entirely complete - the sentiment from MFT ties everything together. Heart Day by Crate Paper is such a great paper pad - some brilliant colours and it's not all too girly!

Seven Hills Crafts, formerly 'Make A Day Special' is a craft website dedicated to all your crafting needs based in Sheffield, UK.
