Seven Hills Crafts (UK)

Seven Hills Crafts, formerly 'Make A Day Special' is a craft website dedicated to all your crafting needs based in Sheffield, UK.

They sell US imported stamps from well known brands such as Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant, Concord and 9th, Paper Smooches, Waffle Flower, My Favorite Things, Neat and Tangled and various other worldwide stamps, dies, and papercrafts to the UK market.

This site is a God send. I make at least one order a week to these guys and if I had more money I would gladly give it to them! To be able to obtain and buy US stamps, dies and craft materials in the UK without having to pay overseas shipping is ama-zing - I only have to pay one price and no other price additional to what I am already paying in postage.

The site used to be called 'Make a Day Special' before the name change which happened at the start of this year (2016) They rebranded from the previous UK based colours of red, white and blue, and the site and logos now have a bright and fresh green hue - of which probably symbolised a new chapter, and new beginning for the couple of run the website - Tara and Rick.
Tara and Rick alongside this craft business have full time jobs on top - they handle all the processing, handling, packaging and posting, as well as running a successful blog and social media pages. These guys are on full tilt! I've ordered many products from them and their service has always been great - they have the most up to date products, and they always keep you updated with what is coming in, new releases and inspiration ideas to create projects with products bought from their shop. Their bio is here via the website

So you're probably wondering, how do I order, do they deliver worldwide, and how much is their postage? It's all below...

First of all...

Follow them on Facebook here - it features all the latest and up and coming new releases, brands they will be bringing into the store, new products and inspiration and project ideas. If you're UK based and have not followed Seven Hills Crafts already, never heard of them - like them on Facebook.

Next... Ordering

Ordering is easy, you do not need to have an account with SHC to order anything, you can checkout as a guest and then pay with PayPal. Add items to the basket, review your order and checkout - easy peasy.

Great thing about SHC is that it will always tell you online if they do not have anything in stock. Stock levels are pretty good, obviously if something is out of stock, it would notify you on the product page - you can sign up via email to be notified at a later stage when it is in stock to buy the item when available.

Confirmation and Dispatch

Confirmation of the order is sent to your email address. UK deliver is £2.50 - this is a flat rate, if you order anything under £10, its £2.50, order anything over £30, its £2.50. Free shipping is available to orders over £60.

SHC ships to European countries as well, based on weight - this starts at £3.50 and goes up to £30.00 - all dependent on weight, so please bear this in mind when ordering.

Worldwide shipping is also available for non-EU countries and this starts from £9.50, also depending on weight. Non-EU countries, will be liable for taxes, customs or additional charges - these are not taken into account with the shipping fees, so beware of any additional charges. They do not ship to the US, as most if not all the products are imported and readily available in the US, and US residents buying from US retails - it would make more sense to buy their products on home ground, as it were!

UK delivery is within 3 - 5 days, turnaround time based on personal experience if you order during the week Monday to Friday is two days. Friday might be a bit tricky because of weekend postage but if you order on Monday for example, you'll get your item maybe Wednesday or Thursday. Postage is relatively speedy and quick.

Receipt of Products / Customer Service

I've always found Seven Hills to be great with customer service, I think on two separate occasions, one package I never received and another damaged - I contacted them and they immediately posted another item / package out to me. I never felt like I was in the wrong, or it could be my fault - they've always been very, very helpful. Tara who handles most of the communications, has always been lovely in responding to queries and the customer service has always been very good and well received and I've never had any problems with SHC or with their customer service.

All in all, I will forever be ordering from them - they have the latest releases from the US, and stock is readily available through them. I do not have to pay stupid money or shipping / handling fees for something that was less in value and I feel that I get great service in return and great products I enjoy.

Check out their Facebook page here and their website here as well. Their blog is also here for card inspiration and crafty challenges

  1. I've heard a lot of positive feedback about this service, Is it really as good as people say about it? The thing is that I'm used to using only time-tested service. For example I use just one writing service for a long period of time, click for more info. Thanks.
